This past weekend Balancing Rock Studio at the HIDDEN IN THE HILLS Studio Tour & Sale was really busy despite the inclement weather. Thanks to everyone who braved the weather & visited our studio. Work on my "HAPPY HOUR PROJECT" has been slow, but steady. I did get to finish "MO' JITO PLEASE", the second in an open series of "Alcohol Transfers" about "Alcohol Transfers", on Sunday afternoon.

I'll be working on "Bellini's" this coming weekend at the continuation of the HIDDEN IN THE HILLS Studio Tour & Sale (Friday-Sunday, November 29th, 30th, December 1st, 2013; 10:00 am-5:00 pm). HAPPY HOUR PROJECT
Last year at HIDDEN IN THE HILLS, my fellow artists & some of our guests had a lot of fun teasing me about what kind of “Alcohol Transfers” I was really doing! All that kidding around inspired me to start a new project- a series of “Alcohol Transfers” about “Alcohol Transfers”. As isopropyl & rum are my solvents of choice, I’ve had a slow start due to a shortage of props. I really could use your help on this project. I’m looking for interesting liquor bottles with the labels intact (empty, please). A copy of the recipe for your favorite cocktail to go with it would be great! As my way of saying thank you, anyone (21 or over) bringing me an empty liquor bottle for my “HAPPY HOUR PROJECT” will receive 20% off the purchase price of one item priced at $25 or greater (one discount per person). It's been a crazy, busy week starting to get ready for the Hidden In The Hills Studio Tour (November 22nd, 23rd, 24th, 29th, 39th, December 1st, 2013). I did manage to find some time to complete "DO YOU LIKE PINA COLADA?", my first Alcohol Transfer with Pen and Ink in an open series in the "HAPPY HOUR PROJECT".

"DO YOU LIKE PINA COLADA?" is the first in my series of "Alcohol Transfers" about "Alcohol Transfers" which I'm calling "THE HAPPY HOUR PROJECT". As you can see, it is still on the drawing board, a work in progress. I thought it would be an even more fun project to document the progress of the series.
