"SALADILLO"
Mixed-media, multi-layered alcohol transfer with pen and ink
While traveling to Morocco about 18 months ago, our tour group made a pit stop on our drive through the Middle Atlas Mountains to meet some of the locals. On our walk through the field to their hut, I photographed this attractive looking "weed". Upon doing some research after returning from the trip, I learned that "saladillo" is a succulent that is prevalent in the region. Looks a lot like some house plants I've purchased over the years - nice to see where they originate.
